What are my chances

by SSudhi » Wed Oct 09, 2013 2:24 pm
Hi,

I would request you to review my profile below and advice what are the chances of me making it to the ISB. As you can see I have a very mediocre academic record and would like to know if that completely wipes out the chances for me.

Academics:

10th - 70%
12th - 61%
Bachelor Of Commerce, Bangalore University - 55%

Work Experience:

1) HSBC 2006 - 2012. Assistant Manager at HSBC Global Banking and Markets division with the experience of managing a team of 13 individuals in addition to managing business deliverable s
2) Working as an Assistant Manager, Product Marketing for a Governance, Risk and Compliance software solution provider since September 2012 with the responsibility of managing the Mid-Market BFSI sector.

International Experience includes 3 months in the UK and 2 months in Malaysia with HSBC and about 4 months in the USA with my current organization.

Extra Curricular Activities:

1) I have played competitive cricket for many years having represented my junior state, zonal, college and my corporate teams.I have had the privilege of playing along and also captaining teams which has consisted of players who have gone on to represent the Indian Cricket team.
2)I am also an avid trekker and have been on various trekking tours across the Himalayas and the Swiss Alps.
3) Teamed up with 3 other friends to create a website called "cricmentor.com". This website is targeted at providing online tutorials on the game of cricket and the opportunity for users to blog with other cricket enthusiasts.

I realize that my academics can be a major negative and will need a very good GMAT score. Please advise.

Thanks!
