Timing ? between Kap CAT & MGMAT CAT

by didntfindaname » Tue Jul 21, 2009 9:10 pm
Hey guys couldn't find this by searching on the forum, but I have taken 5 Kaplan Cats and today just took my first MGMAT CAT.

I noticed a HUGE difference in my Math timing. I have not been able to finish any of my 4 K CATs. I frantically go through the last 5 questions before time runs out and mostly guess on the last question.

Today in my MGMAT CAT I was coasting and had so much time that I was able to leisurely go through the section and finish with a 2 minutes to spare.

I got about the same score 690 MGMAT CAT 1 vs. KCAT (660 ,690,670, 690,710)
(although if i knew i would have spent more time on MGMAT early ?'s rather than my usual hurry)

So my question is from those who have taken the actual GMAT is the math timing more similar to Kap CATs or MGMAT CATS

Thanks

Frankly! I think KCATs are much tougher. Perhaps thats y u felt that the MGMAT took much less time. Overall, the GMAT is not expected to be of the same difficulty level as KCATs, so I dont think you have anything to be worried about...:-)

to answer your question specifically wrt time, all the tests are timed the same way.
