V is multiplied by

In the formula V = 1/(2r) ^3 , if r is halved, then V is multiplied by

a. 64
b. 8
c. 1
d. 1/8
e. 1/64

Answer is b

I just do not understand the explnation in the book. Could someone simplify this question for me?

V = 1/(2r) ^3

if r is halved
1/(2r/2) ^3=8*1/(2r) ^3=8V

dude just replace 1/(2r) ^3 with V in the final term.

Can someone explain why

1/(2r/2)^3 = (8) * 1/(2r/2)^3

hey its not
1/(2r/2)^3 = (8) * 1/(2r/2)^3
it is
1/(2r/2)^3 = (8) * 1/(2r)^3
