With only two weeks to study, I managed to slay half the GMAT (V44, 97th percentile) and do so-so on the other half (Q40, 52nd percentile).

Time management was a major issue in the quant section. I think I was doing well on answering questions correctly, because they were all pretty complex and wordy. Then when I got down to the last 5 minutes I still had about 8 questions left. I managed to make educated guesses on a couple, but then had to just madly enter random answers for the last 5 questions. Hence the mediocre Quant score.

This *should* be enough to get me into my MAcc program. I'm doubtful about whether it will get me into a PhD program eventually, as my undergraduate GPA was woeful (well under 3.0). My best chance is to try to get a MAcc GPA as high as I can (I'm shooting for 4.0) and go from there.

I had the material down for the math, but just didn't have enough time to practice questions to get really fast. That will certainly be my focus next time around.

Since I don't really need the exam again until I consider applying to PhD programs (18 months or so) would you go right back at it and retake now or wait until next summer? Would you retake it at all?

If you have the time, I would recommend you retake it sooner rather than later. This way, the concepts and strategies will still be fresh in your head.

However, since you said you only spent two weeks studying, it won't matter much if you have to redo those two weeks sometime in the future.

p.s. congrats. A 680 with only 2 weeks of studying is a very respectable score.
