So, I'm struggling with the Quant. section and really need help. I have a month of studying left and I need to raise my Quant. score significantly. I'm comfortable with Verbal, so not doing too much for that. So far on the practice I've taken I'm getting about 40% of the Quant section correct and anywhere from 70-80% in Verbal.
I feel that I have a good general knowledge of the math topics tested on the GMAT, so beyond practicing I don't know what to do.
I'd like to know how the OG 11 is broken up based on difficulty. I've heard that there is a steady increase for each section. I started at question 100 of 251 for problem solving and at 75 of 155 for DS. I'm assuming these are medium-hard difficulty questions. Am I correct in that assumption? In the past I started at the beginning of each section and felt the questions were a little easy and were not allowing me to progress. I feel that by going through these more difficult questions and reading all explanations, I'll advance my skills, even if I'm getting a lot wrong. Is this also correct?
Like I said I feel my math concept knowledge is good, I just have trouble realizing what is being asked, miss something that after reading the explanation is obvious or make a stupid error. I think my timing is ok, but I'm stumped on what else to do. If I can raise my Quant score even a little in the next month I should get the score I need.
I'm aiming for a 650, but would be extremely happy with anything over 600. I'm not applying to a ranked school, but rather a smaller regional school. Please help!!
