Each question is followed by 2 statements
X and Y. Answer each question using the following instructions
Choose A if the question can be answered using X alone
Choose B if the question can be answered using Y alone
Choose C if the question can be answered using either X or (exclusive) Y
Choose D if the question can be answered using X and Y together
Choose E if the question can not be answered using X and Y also.

In a family, Kamla, her brother, her daughter and her son live. They

play a game of cards. Is Kamla the best player?

X: The worst player's twin and the best player are of the opposite GMAT.

Y: The worst player and the best player are of the same age

The twins possible are : Kamla and her Bro; Son and Daughter

Lets call them K, B , S&D

1. Insufficient [ could be KS, KB, SD, or BD]
2. Insufficient [ KS or SD]

1&2 combined also insufficient [could be KS, SD]

E, IMO

according to me the answer is E

statement 1:

if worst player is : K | B | D | S
then best player: D | S | K | B

so any pair can be chosen for worst and best players (insufficient)

statement 2:

as given that worst and best players should be of same age, it can be that Kamla is worst and her brother is best or visa versa same goes for her kids. (insufficient)

taking these statements together;
No pair (worst K and best D), (worst B and best S), (worst D and best K), (worst S and best B) has people of same age. (insufficient)

So E
Stay focused

there are 4 persons

same age: pair 1=K and B
pair 2=S and D

s1)there can be two twin pair
KB or SD
worst palyer=KB then best player=SD
or if worst player=sd then best player=kb

insuff

s2)worst player =K then best player=b or vic e versa
worst player=s then best player=d or vic e versa
insuff

combining also all cases are possible
