How many minutes will the clock lose in 504 hours?

1. The clock loses 0.4 minutes in g hours.
2. Ever 6 hours, the clock loses 2.5 minutes.

Is g hours or 9 hours?

If its g hours, the answer is B
If its 9 hours, the answer is D

In 9 hrs, the close loses 0.4 mins, so in 540 hrs, the clock loses (540/9)*0.4 mins
In 6 hrs, the close loses 2.5 mins, so in 540 hrs, the clock loses (540/6)*2.5 mins

If it was 9, it could not have been a possible GMAT DS problem. Can you tell why?

Because (540/9)*0.4 is not equal to (540/6)*2.5

It is g (G) hrs

B is correct here
