Kaplan books

by davy420 » Wed Oct 03, 2007 12:30 am
Hi Im new to this forum. I am wondering what is the difference among the kaplan books. I keep reading about kaplan 800 is the hardest, but what about the comprehensive program and premire program? How are they different? Does it make a difference if you buy any one of those books? I am just confused which book is the best. I have just purchase their comprehensive program book and wondering if I should return it for the other ones. Thanks

IMO the all-in-one guides are not the best of options. Kaplan is highly overrated. Kaplan premeir has good practice questions and gives your 5 CATs. Their CATs are also not among the best but can be a useful tool. In all don't make Kaplan your first and foremost source of study for the GMAT.

I would recommend you buy the following:

Official GMAT guide v11 for practice questions - must have
Official GMAT Verbal Review
Official GMAT Quantitative review
MGMAT sentece correction guide
If it's been a while and you need to review the concepts for the Quantitative section then i suggest you pick you a good arithmetic and algebra book and review the concepts. Also check out the resources section on this website for some good links.
