please help me choosing european business school...

hi all
I am planning to do my MBA from UK...for the 2009 fall...I will have 3 years of work exp by then....
I have secure 91.4 % in 10,77% in 12 and 81% in BTech.
but since my years of experiance is not much so i am not hoping to get into the top schools which requires atleast 5 years of experiance.
I have shortlisted some of the universities
1.leeds business school
2.strathclyde business school
3.kingstone
4.european business school
5.newcastle business school
Please suggest whether these schools have possed a good job prospects and since i am a indian resident whether degrees from these colleges are valued worldwide.Also suggest me if I stand a chance to get into the top schools...

thanks.
LBS and INSEAD are the best...but they require atleast 5 years of experiance but i will havve only 3 yrs in 2009...henceforth i need to chose other schools...please guide me in choosing schools...i had mentioned some schools in my previous post....are they good job prospect wise....please please help me...

I am sorry but I am not familiar with the other programs you listed. Perhaps you can find the information you need (rankings, required work experience, specialties, etc.) on the individual school websites.

Hi Tishan,

It is not the number of years of work experience but the quality of work ex that matters to the admissions committee. I am enrolled at London Business School and at the time of admission had less than four years of work experience. Also, note that as per the class profile available on the school's site, the range of WE is 2-18. So you're within the range and with a quality application can very much make it through.

Hi Tishan,


Doing a MBA from UK will involve a lot of investment so you should be aiming for the top business schools.

The top schools in UK would be

1.) LBS
2.) In no particular order Warwick, Said, Judge, Cranfield, Manchester and probably Lancaster. (There isnt much to rank between these schools as all of them are equally good)

I would suggest you to go ahead and apply to atleast some of these schools. Three years of quality work experience would definitely make you a strong contender in most of these schools.

From the list provided by you, Strathclyde and Leeds are known to have a decent program.

when schools and candidates specify the amount of workex, do they mean the number of years completed at the time of application or at the time of joining school?

I think most schools look at your experience till the application date. Anyway it is always good to send an email to the admissions officer of your school of interest to be sure.
