Bacon says, "blah."
Bacon says - "blah."
Bacon says :- "blah."


"blah," says Bacon.
"Blah" - says Bacon.
"Blah" :- says Bacon.

As per my understanding from Manhattan SC, the following are also correct:
Bacon says - "blah."
"Blah" - says Bacon.
