FAILED AGAIN!

by ashaydesai » Sat Jul 25, 2009 6:59 am
Attempt 1 :640(48 Q, 28 V), Sept 2008
Attempt 2: 600(48 Q, 24 V), Oct 2008
Attempt 3: 620( 50 Q, 25 V), July 2009.

I am curently too devastated to post a brief.

But kindly let me know if there is any good giving a 4th attempt
or its BYE BYE MBA for me.ADCOMS generally do not FAVOR more than 3 attempts, which is the popular opinion I get after scanning forums and blogs

Aiming for a top 25 program..or now rather I should say top 70!

PS: All my Gpreps Tests were> 700, with avg scores of 49 on Quants and 36 on Verbal.Hence its very disappointing.

Ashaydesai:

It seems that All the tests you have taken under extreme anxiety to see that what will be your final score. One advise would be to see the MBA programs that are okay with existing score means remove ivy league fever. In other words, it is also beneficial to do something from just above average University/B School in this economy where it is not guaranteed that what will be the worth of that Harvard/Wharton/Stanford/MIT/Tucks/Columbia degree! Investment banking fever has been totally given Paracetamol tablets. Bonus checks are in Museum. Obama/Tim Geithner loves the term "Bonus" but just the term. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Citi, Bank Of America, Bank of New York, Socit'e General, Credit Suisse, AIG, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac are not Hiring anymore especially MBA graduates untill you are real son of Blonde with blue eyes with Birth Certificate of Ohio and United States Citizenship. (I assume that you are in United States better be in India)

How many repeats did you see in GMAT in the GMAT Prep u took?
It may not have been a correct indicator.

Well the first time I took Gprep, it was > 700 on both gprep 1 & gprep 2.
And further when i repeated each of them for the second round, there were hardly around 10-15% repeat questions.

I actually folowed one of the posts on BTG which stated that, uninstall the gprep, clean the existing directories and install it again. It may have contributed to just 10-15% repeat.
