Hi Parry.B,

Well, it's pretty evident that like me, you are also struggling with verbal...but u yourself have mentioned the gap in your prep..i.e. OG...

So for your verbal:

SC/RC/CR: Read the concepts from Manhattan/Sahil and spidey notes(attached in the mail) they are ltl abstract...u might want to rearrange them AND then Go to EACH n EVERY Question in OG and its explanation...keep making note of the concepts from explanation...u might not get the entire thing in one go...then revise it...i myself OG 3 times...I am also attaching some nice RC and CR strategy guide, which i got from this forum only...but it really really helped me..

Once u r thru with OG...jump on Manhattan...i found manhattan RC pretty good...it gets u into a habit of reading and organizing pssage..

For Maths...yes, real time Qs are tougher then the one in mock test...so again...go to manhattan maths...the level is pretty high...but it will prepare u for the tough questions and increase ur pace as well...

for AWA..ul recieve ur score in a week or so...i dnt think u r in any trouble even if u dnt hit "next" button and time is up...it happened with me as well...and i scored 4.0...so guess it was ok...

Hope this help...il say again n again...stick to OG...and ul score good...

All the best
cheers

and yeah...not to mention...Practice Practice and Practice...there is no substitute for it...dont wait till the end for mock test...keep giving mock tests and change ur game plan for coming weeks accordingly.

I would suggest to buy manhattan mock test on manhattan.com. They will give 5 or 6 mock tests..which u can give again n again by resetting them...the level is pretty high for in those tests...if u reiecve arnd 680-720 in those tests...u r sure to get above 700...and same is the case with gmat prep tests...the deviation with actual test is only +/- 10 points...so thats pretty accurate...

Oh oops...looks like i forgot to attach the docs. attaching some of them...will attach rest by evening...

Cheers,
monusangeeta

Much thanks for the docs and your tips. I have decided to just go with the scores now and apply to lesser universities. I gave it a thought and discussed it with my fiancée and my dad and came to a conclusion that I had been making a hype about the university. It really isn't that a big deal which university I land up in considering my other qualifications. And, the other 4 on my preference list would be happy to take me in. So, I am just gonna get on with my applications and wait for an offer. Incase, I do not get into one of these 4 then I will retake GMAT but it won't be before August next year. I have a lvl2 CFA exam in June.

Yep. Mahattan Tests are really good just like the GMAT prep and I had them in my "things to do" list. But you must have noticed that I could give the tests only 2 days prior to my exam and so it was pointless to buy the manhattan tests. Infact I joined USIEF for the same reason... they allow us to take tests for free. There are six tests that manhattan has to offer from which first one is free and rest 5 are charged for.

Anyways, I am just glad that I am over with this. Though, I am gonna try to better my verbal skills. :/ They have haunted me ever since school. Aargghh!
