NOT EXACTLY BEATEN THE GMAT... BUT LISTEN ON

by nolf » Tue Mar 31, 2009 8:44 pm
Hi Guys

This is my story which i wanted to share with you all. Yesterday was my D-Day and yeah i got a 670.

Basically I am not saying that I beat the GMAT. But yeah I am very much happy with the first time score of 670. This is the reason why.

As given in these posts at Beatthegmat.com.... I started to take a number of practice tests ranging from Manhattan to Kaplan to PRinceton to Veritas to the GMATPrep.

These were my results.

Manhattan Test 1 - 560
Manhattan Test 2 - 580
Veritas Test - 540
GmatPrep 1 - 570
GMATPrep 2 - 580
Kaplan Test 1 - 570
Kaplan Test 2 - 580
Kaplan Test 3 - 560
Manhattan Test 3 - 640.

SO you can see that yeah i was scoring only in the range 570 max and once got a score of 640 in Manhattan. Through this post just thought of giving encouragement to those guys who are in my position.

These tests were taken about a week or so before the D Day.

Dont lose hope guys. If you have done the GMATPRep papers well, the questions are completely similar. I felt no difference in about 5 questions yst and just took 2 min to solve those 5 questions. It was like I was taking the practice tests again.

If you are scoring high in your practice tests, you will defi do well. Keep up the good work..

For guys who are in their last stages of prep and are scoring less... Dont worry you too will do well.

Just remember a few basics and the way of answers in your prep tests. That can do the trick...

I thought this might be helpful... So just posted.... Do give in your comments...

I am full of confidence now and hence writing GMAT again in June... Hoping to get more...

ALL THE BEST GUYS...

Harsha
