Although elementary school children have traditionally received considerable instruction in creating visual art, there has been no such instruction in music. Consequently, in contrast to the situation for visual art, most people as adults do not recognize the artistic intention of composes. To remedy this situation, a few educators now recommend teaching elementary schools students to compose music.

Which of the following, if true, is the strongest basis for arguing that implementation of the recommendation will not lead to the desired result?

A) Few elementary schools students are likely to create superior compositions.

B) Traditional education facilitates the appreciation of visual art, but not the recognition of the artistic intentions of artists.

C) More people report that they enjoy music than report that they enjoy visual art.

D) Some composers have had little formal instruction in composition.

E) The recommendation is based on the results of a controlled longitudinal study conducted in three schools within a single city.

Option A - INCORRECT.
This assumption may be true because, since the Elementary students are still young and vibrant then it is assumed that few of them should be able to compose with their traditional knowledge on Visual Art. However, the both courses are based on intellectual composition of art.

Option B - CORRECT.
This option is the strongest basis of the argument. Traditional education facilitates the appreciation of visual art, but not the recognition of the artistic intentions. Furthermore, teaching elementary students creation of visual art alongside music does not guarantee future preference on this work of art, because at a tender age instructions can still be adhered to but as an adult there is every tendency for artistic intentions to be diversify. However it is still a good idea to implement the teaching of elementary students on how to compose music along side visual art.

Option C - INCORRECT.
The recommendation of teaching music composition is not based on the percentage of people who are interested in music compared to visual art, but rather it is based on the fact that some adults who are into art have more of traditional knowledge on visual art and find it easy to deal with visual art unlike music.

Option D - INCORRECT.
This option recognizes the knowledge of traditional composition as important compared to formal instructions on composition.

Option E- INCORRECT.
The recommendation may be based on research carried out on various schools but the fact been proved in this argument is based on the recognition of adulthood of the artistic intentions on composition.
