The question says that the lake has a diameter of 2 miles and it is surrounded by a circular jogging track. Johanna walks with a speed of 3 mph around the track.
We dont know the width of the track. But we do know the diameter of the lake. The circumference of the lake will be pie*D = 22/7 * 2 = 6.2
Therefore, the minimum time that Johanna will take to walk around the lake is 6.2/3 = 2 hours approximately. With the width of the track added to the radius, this time will be much more than 2 hours.
Therefore, C is the appropriate answer.
