Hi Suvankar,

Welcome to Beat the GMAT! First, start out with some practice tests to see where you are now and compare that to where you want to be. You may realize you need to take a course, or that you're close enough to your goal that self-study will be sufficient. You can get our free practice test here https://theprincetonreview.com/free-onli ... tests.aspx and find others on the right hand side of Beat the GMAT's homepage. I would recommend taking 10-15 throughout the course of your studies. This will help you find your weak areas and build stamina (which is really important - the GMAT is a trying test).

Also, be careful prepping 7 days a week; you do not want to burn out. I would suggest trying to fit your studies into 6 days a week and scheduling a 'GMAT free day' at least once per week. At 2 hours per day/6 days per week, you should plan to study for about 4 months.

If you decide that self-study is lacking the structure and motivation you need, check out our online and classroom courses here https://www.princetonreview.com/business ... ation.aspx. In Princeton Review Classes, teachers will help you focus on your weak areas and take you aside for extra help.

If you have any further questions, feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected]. Good luck!

Best,
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
Thanks for the recommendation.
I had already taken the GMAT test from mba.com with no prior studies, and have score 550......This needs to be increased to 760+.I am confident enough to get the score with my hard work .

Regarding the study materials, I have already purchased PR and have ordered for OG.Is it really necessary for me to go for classroom studies, or I can do the self prep 2hrs /6 days per week .

I will be creating the study routine today itself and will share it with you so that you can provide your inputs on the same....

regards,
Suvankar
