Karen van Hoek, Ph.D. Dr. van Hoek is TPNY's lead Verbal Specialist. She holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Linguistics, has taught as a linguistics professor for 9 years, at, among other places, the University of Michigan, and has written test materials for Stanley Kaplan. She is co-author of the TPNY GMAT Sentence Correction book being published by Nova Press in early 2011.
