In 1990's, there are more babies born by women over thirty years old than under it.

A) than had been under it

B) than were they under it

C) than under it

D) than were the babies

E) than those were under it


Which one would you select it and why..

IMO C.

by women over thirty years old than under it.

this sentence would be better if.....

by women over thirty years old than by those under it.

But C is also acceptable as logically it is clear that women over 30 and women under 30 are being compared.

I don't like the way it sounds, but I think C is the best of the bunch.
I'm really old, but I'll never be too old to become more educated.
