by ashish1354 » Sat Nov 14, 2009 3:12 am
A six digit number is obtained by repeating a 2 digit number three times (e.g 565656, 232323). Such a number must be a multiple of
a)11100
b)10011
c)10101
d)11001

I could not figure out the answer

I just picked the number 212121 and then divided it by 21 and you get 10101. Thus, 212121 is a multiple of 10101.

Hi,

Any six digit number of the above format can be represented as xyxyxy = xy(10000) + xy(100) + xy = xy(10000 + 100 + 1) which should be a multiple of 10101
