Need a starting point..

Hello everyone,

Kudos to all the people who are a part of BTG community. Gr8 job & keep up the good work guys...we need you.

I'm a newbie & have just begun my preparartions, planning on giving the GMAT in july.I feel at a loss when it comes to

devising a study plan 'coz it's been a while since i left studies & maths was never really my strong point.

My question is how to best achieve my target of 700 score given my poor foundation in maths. When i do quant i feel

i'll run out of time for verbal & practice tests. This really overwhelms me,so help me people...what comes first & in what

order ??

Would appreciate a quick response.

thanx for a prompt response.

Right now i'm working on clarifying my concepts & that should take a few days. That done i'll take a diagnostic test .

As for my academics,I've done my post-graduation in Political Science folllowed by a diploma both in french & bs.mgmt.Eventually i set up my own business & been working since then. Now i plan to do an MBA .

Can anyone tell me THE first book that can be picked up to clarify concepts. On my part i'm doing KAPLAN live online, is this a good starting point or there's something even better.Do tell me ur opinion.

Also i would like to know if there's a good foundation book on quant concepts that i can refer.

First of all, give a GMATPrep diagonstic test.
Then, mention your scores in this thread-as to ur break up scores in the sections, difficulties faced by u(ex:-time not left at the end,DNA some questions, etc)

Also, can you give a summary of ur background as it will help to gauge you stand in terms of the Math and Verbal skils.
Are you an native speaker??
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)

Just because something is hard doesn't mean you shouldn't try,it means you should just try harder.
