Hi Lisa,

Just a quick question:

I saw you are based in Houston, So thought you might know a little more in depth information about UH C.T Bauer College of Business.

I understand, that their business college has grown by leaps & bounds in last few years. It might not be in the same league as May's or McCombs, But I won't be surprised if it get's there in few years.

I am planning to apply for UH MBA ( evening MBA).. ..Still to take the GMAT, But Have a BS in EE with 3.1 GPA.. 2 yrs of work exp in Texas. Working in the field of Energy ( Power Delivery). Also have moderate level of co- curricular activites on my resume with couple of international internships..

I would be applying as an international student (most of the applicants from my demographic pool are from IT, I am from energy)... Would that be a + ??

Any inputs are highly appreciated...

Thank you.

Dear smar83:

I'm not sure what you mean by "demographic pool". It is always a good idea to try and differentiate your application from others that might have a similar profile. Differentiation is not just about your background (industry, degree, etc.) but what about your work experience, extra-curriculars, etc. makes you stand out. So, when you are writing your essays and resume or preparing for your interview, be sure to highlight your accomplishments and unique traits that will be interesting to the committee.

Good luck!
Lisa
