Hi there,
I'd like to take some pre-requisite courses before applying to my fav b-schools, especially considering I have a BA with pratically no math background. I'd like to take business calculus, statistics and accounting at some university online, like Canyon College and University of Phoenix. Do you know wheter MBA programs accept courses from these institutions or not?
Do you have any other program t suggest?

Hi Roberto:

Most business schools do not have prerequisites, but having some quant background (either through work or school) is desirable. Most business schools offer a math crash course a few weeks before the first semester/quarter.

However, it's not a bad idea to take some math classes earlier, even from online programs. This may even demonstrate to business schools that you are dedicated to doing well in their programs.

If you don't want to go the online route, think about taking classes at your local university or community college as well...

GPA

Hi there,
as someone else wrote already, i have a question about gpa: I'm italian too, and the system here is 3 years of BA + 2 years of Specialist BA. My GPAS are respectively 4/4 and 3.58/4, taking and using the WES conversion chart.
I'm concerned about my second GPA... 3.58 - in a social science like Antrhopology - isn't high. It's higher than the average of 95% of mba programs, i know, still I don't feel like it's very high.
What do you think? Should I be worried about it or it's strong anyway? And how will universities consider that I have two different gpas?
Also, do you think I can address in the essays that my second gpa is lower because during my specialist ba i did a lot of things like setting up an online business, travelling a lot, going as exchange student in finland and USA and starting to work full-time?

I think you might be a little too paranoid--a 3.58 is a very good GPA in any major! I don't think you need to explain this performance at all.

sorry folks, it' me again.. Do you know what mba have the best programs in marketing and supply chain management? I wanna pair them with international business, I'd really like going international!

University of Maryland and MIT have two of the best SCM programs in the nation.
