New GMAT Score Report

by vivekvarendra » Wed Aug 29, 2012 5:24 am
I remember getting the quant, verbal and overall scores immediately after the exam when I took the GMAT the first time on Aug 24, 2011. The official score report along with the AWA score was sent by email on Aug 30, 2011.

I just registered to take the exam on Sep 21 as the R1 deadline is October 2/3 and received the following information in the confirmation email-

If your appointment is for June 5, 2012 or later your score will not be available until at least 20 days after your test date. To learn more about the new exam, please go to mba.com.

So, how does this change reporting of the scores for the new GMAT? Will I have my official score report by Oct 2/3?

Can people who have taken the new GMAT tell me when they received what after taking the exam?

Only your percentiles may change. Also, most schools will allow you to submit your unofficial scores as long as you send your official reports when you have them..

But wouldn't I need the IR and AWA scores when I submit the application?
