Target question => Did the population of country P increase by more than 25% from 2000 to 2005?

Statement 1 => From 2000 to 2002, the population of country P increased by 10%, and from 2002 to 2005, the population of country P increased by 14%

If total population = x then from 2000 to 2002, population = 100% x + 10% of x
= 110% x and by 2005 it has increased to 14%
So, population = 110% of x + 14% * 110% x
= 110% x + 15.4% x = 125.4% x
The population increased by 125.4 - 100 = 25.4%. Statement 1 is SUFFICIENT

Statement 2 => The population of country P in 2000 was 350,000 people
Population in 2005 is unknown so % increase cannot be calculated. Statement 2 is NOT SUFFICIENT.

Since only statement1 is SUFFICIENT,
Answer = A
