2^x - 2^x 2^-2 = 3 * 2 ^13 split 2^x-2 which is 2^x . 2 ^ -2

2 ^ x (1 - 1/4) = 3 * 2 ^13 (taking common factor 2^x out)

2 ^ x * 3 / 4 = 3 * 2 ^13

2 ^ x / 2 ^ 2 * 3 = 3 * 2 ^13 (4 = 2 ^ 2)

2 ^ x-2 * 3 = 3*2^13 (a ^ m / a ^ n = a ^ m-n)

Therefore x-2 = 13
x=15
