26 trees have 25 gaps and every gap = 225/25 = 9 meters ANSWER

Hi burgess,

This is an example of a "fence post" problem, but this is NOT how the GMAT will ask you the question.

Fence post questions require you to keep track of all of the items "in a row", including the first and last item. You'll be asked to calculate the number of items.
