I just started studying for the gmat and im wondering which route to take when it comes to purchasing gmat books. right now these are my two options: buy the books suggested by the 3 month study guide on BTG, or an 8 book set from manhattan on amazon.com that covers mostly concept review. with the latter option i figured i would go ahead and buy the three OG bolos for practice problems. What do you guys think? any suggestions?
thanks!

If I were you, I would get MGMAT math guides + SC+ their recently published math guide for OG. Then I would get Power Score CR and OG 12 + two suplemental guides that GMAC publishes for extra practice (optional).

I think the above advice is pretty sound. However, keep in mind that some of the Manhattan books are pretty dense so you'll probably need to look over them more than one time. I'm in the process of going through Veritas books and they seem to be a little less complete, but also less dense.
