GMAT 7(actul) times: Score b/t 360 to 500 (where go to CRY).

Hi All..

Following this web site from May 2010 and dont know how many times have read posts to motivate myself. I have sat 7 times in and have scored between 360 to 500.. Funny enough my second last score was 500 and last one was 360. Verbal between 11 to 29 and Quant. between 25 and 39

On other hand AWA improved from 3.5 to 5.5. In last 4 it is constantly 5 and in last one 5.5.

Prepartion.
Kaplan, Manhattan, OG 11 and 12. Jeff Math..

Test..

GMAT offical(arround 5 time) score between 440 and 680
Kaplan score between 510 and 600) took 5
Manhattan score between 440 and 590 took 4

I dont want to give up. Will really apreciate if you guys come up with suggestion and help me to come out from this dark and depressing sitution.. After last test it took me one month to consider every thing.. but I am not a person who will give up.. I will try and try and try.. Got enough embrassment from family and friends. but still want to try..

or guys what you think .. should I give up .. just write your opinion.. i know it seems silly as above i am saying i wil not .. but can understand the furstration.. after what all has gone through..

Consider GMAT like a boxing match. If you don't know the moves GMAT will knock you down every time.
On the other hand know GMAT inside out and GMAT can be conquered. You need to join a classroom program.
Learn the concepts because you want to learn (then and if possible teach your friend in future) not because you want to get the score. Focus on the process and not the results.Have patience, use right resources, consult people of forums and you shall prevail.

Do not give up. There are countless posts on BTG from people who rose from 300's to 700+. It will take time though.

I suggest that you stick with a topic until you've mastered it completely.
Let's use Geometry as an example.
First, you need to learn all of the basic rules of geometry.
Then you need to learn all of the GMAT-specific strategies that pertain to Geometry questions.
Then you should begin working on Geometry questions until you've seen every possible question type that the GMAT can throw at you. During all of this, be sure to understand the solution to every question. Check out the BTG posts to see if there are other ways to solve that question. Once you're great at solving Geometry questions, keep working on that topic until every shred of doubt (concerning Geometry questions) is gone.

Then, and only then, move on to a new topic.

Those are my 2 cents.

AbhiJ.. thanks for your replay.. I have gone through all books couple of time, for example I have done OG12 three time and have kept record of what was wrong and what was right. I got over 65% right overall. And have gone through Manhattan and kaplan books quiet few time as well. When I do questions in practice I do well. Same in verbal, I got most of the sentence correction write, but still cant figure out what goes wrong.. I do understand that my level is less than 700 but it cannot be just between 400 and 500.
But whatever is my argument the result is not according to that and that is what matter. So I have to make things right to get the result.
In term of admission, sitting for that many time will also harm my chances to get into top MBA school?

Brent Thanks for your replay and advise.

I am not going to give up. and will try to achieve my goal.
I will follow your advise and will try to work in that way. Although when I do pratice I feel I have done enough to answer the question in real test. But certainly there is some thing, which I am missing in that practice. Please keep posting your advise to help me to come out from this trap.
