Which GMAT result counts?

by Musicolo » Sun Feb 01, 2009 11:08 am
Hello everyone,

I have one question if you could share your thought and experiences, please?

My first attempt at GMAT was a disaster. I won't even say what I scored.

Since then, I practiced really hard and I am retaking the test next week.

My question is, which of these two scores will business schools consider? Do they consider both results or only the higher score (the second one)? Does the first low score effect the second higher one?

Many thanks for your replies...
Dino

Business schools consider the one you send to them. i bet you'll be sending your higher score :D
but they do can see how many go-s you had for the test, and your previous score as well
if you improve dramatically, it's a good thing for you, sine itwill show your potential and determination to the admission officers

Schools will consider only the top score. However, they will look 'down' upon taking the GMAT more than 3 times.

I.e. if you score 500, 520, 550, 700... while your highest score is 700, they will take note that you took the GMAT 4 times.
