I've been reading through your day by day blog (excellent work by the way, it is awesome!) just had a question. Anyone who has previously taken the GMAT would probably have insight...

I noticed that you jumped back and forth between studying the verbal and quant sections. ie. One day you would read the Data Sufficiency portion and the next day you would do RC questions.

Did you find that it broke up your studying? I was planning to attack "everything math" then "everything verbal." Different strategies work for different people, just wondering if anyone has any insight.

Thanks! :)

During my prep I tried to keep focused on one subject area intensely, but I did include some quick recap of other sections. This worked for me, but of course isn't a golden rule.

Your everything math and everything verbal strategy can work too. I do recommend however, that as you get deeper in your prep, you build in some quick practice problems from early subjects/sections you studied. That way you won't forget what you learned.

Be forewarned, you will start to forget things you studied if you prep more than 3 months!

Good luck!

It will probably be a longer than 3 months for me, guess I will just have to review, review, review. I work full-time and although I've cut out a number of activities I'm still playing at least one sport a season (must keep sane!!)

ps: I just laughed out loud in the office reading your line "these concepts will become my bitches!" Couldn't have said it better myself!
