Hi here is my take on the problems..

1-
Lets say number of male students = 100.
Then 50 of the male students play varsity sport.
Let number of students in college be s. Then 0.4s = male =100
s=100/0.4= 250.
Total female students = 0.6*250 = 150
Female students who play varsity sports = 0.6*150=90.

Total students who do not play varsity sports = 250-100-90=60

Percentage = 60/250 =24%

2-
Sum of 6 numbers = average *6 = 30
Sum of greatest and least = 7*2 = 14
Sum of remaining 4 numbers = 30-14=16
Average of the remaining 4 numbers = 16/4 =4

3-
1 km =1000m
2 trees can be planted in 18m(1tree+space+1tree)
? trees can be planted in 1000m
~111 trees per side.

Total # of trees =111*2=222

4-
(4a)^2 = (b+3)(b-3)
All the options can be rearranged except d which is not the same as above.
