Hi All ,

I wish to pursue MBA at Washington University,St louis. The time frame for applications is from Nov1 2008 through Mar 2009.However I'am planning to apply in the first week of Nov 2008 and give GMAT towards the end of Dec 2008,because I've jus started my prep a week ago.
I have not heard anybody do this ,Please advice if this is a good idea? Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I would confirm with the school. Some schools want you to have everything completed by the time you apply. If something is missing, they will hold off on evaluating your application until its complete.

Also, check if they have rolling admissions or they review applications after the Round deadline. If its the later, then there is no advantage to applying before the round deadline
