Therefore is a conjunctive adverb. We use conjunctive adverb in the following way:aspirant2011 wrote:206. IC + Semicolon + Conjunctive Adverb + COMMA + IC:
Example:
He was ill; therefore, he could not come.
--> The use of "therefore" in A is not correct.
We cannot join two clauses using COMMA only. It creates comma splice.
Option A is a run on sentence.
The option B and D:
The use of BEING is correct only in the following cases:
1. IN the passive of progressive tenses:
2. If Being is used as GERUND.
Being is not correct if it is used in appositive.
Being very reluctant about the national competition, he was out of the competition.
We can easily revised it:
Very reluctant about the national competition, he was out of the competition.
Being is not correct in B and in D.
The option C:
This option is wrong for the following reasons:
1. Sub clause sub clause + So+ IC: This is a weird construction.
2. IC+ COMMA + SO + IC is the correct structure.
Eliminate C.
Answer is E.
