I have taken GMAT thrice... my score is very low.. i could not crack it

But aim is to have an MBA from a renowned B-school... for which GMAT score is crucial!

I have almost 4 Yr work ex as IT guy!..

My scores are very low 1.490 2. 470 and latest 3. 480....

I dont want to quit gmat at the same time am worried if i retake can i get my score improved?

Will Four attempts create a bad impression on Admission committee?

Is is waste of trying or worth if i can get a good score..

Hello,

Four attempts will look like a lot to the adcom, but if you can significantly raise your score, it would still be worth it, I believe. Otherwise, it wouldn't.

I see two other options:

(1) Consider taking the GRE instead, which many programs now accept in lieu of the GMAT. First try out some practice tests and see how you do. Some people have success with this test when they couldn't crack the GMAT.

(2) I don't know any details of your situation other than GMAT problems, but if you are on the older side and have some managerial experience, you might want to look at Executive MBA programs - more and more of such programs are not requiring the GMAT or any standardized test. (Though they will want to see solid grades in quant coursework on your transcript.)

Best regards,
