Valid Assumptions for all Critical Reasonings

by Domnu » Mon Jun 29, 2009 4:56 pm
For all critical reasoning questions, are we allowed to assume the following?

If supply increases, prices go down.
If supply decreases, prices go up.
If demand increases, prices go up.
If demand decreases, prices go down.

Thanks!

Hi,

As far as I understand from the way you mentioned, you want to verify whether applying the following principles :
If supply increases, prices go down.
If supply decreases, prices go up.
If demand increases, prices go up.
If demand decreases, prices go down. for CR questions.

IMHO I feel that this principle would hold good not for all but a certain subset of the CR questions esp Inference based questions. However, we should also be careful on not resorting to heavy usage of external references as always recommmended.

Any thoughts /response regarding this are welcome.
