Hi,

Request help with the following question.Thanks..

Is (-1,-1) a point on line OQ?

1.P =(-2,2)
2.Angle POQ = 90 degrees

Here Q can also lie in 1st quad and both a) and b) would hold true but in either case (-1,-1) will lie on PQ, so answer is yes.

Explanation -

A) Point -2, 2 lie on OP, this implies that OP is at 45 degree from -X axis
But it does not tell anything about the (-1,1) as OQ is free can move anywhere in space
B) Angle between POQ - 90 degree, again, line OQ can revolve anywhere in space as OP is not fixed.

Combining both we can say that OQ is at 45 degree from -X axis, this implies that (-1,1) lies on OQ.
