Do you have a specific question in mind? I have some tips but it would be better to work from specifics.

Lets take this problem :

if x and y are positive integers , what is the remainder when x is divided by y ?

1. When x is divided by 2y, the remainder is 4
2. When x + y is divided by y,the remainder is 4

Thanks again for helping

x and y are positive integers means x>0 and y>0 what is remainder when x/y ?

1.when x is divided by 2y, the remainder

16/6 reminder =4 16/3 remainder =1

19/5 remainder =4 19/10 remainder=9

so its not suff A and D out

2.when x+y is divided by y remainder is 4

x+y/y 10+6/6= remainder = 4
10/6 remainder =4

14+5/5 remainder=4
14/5 remainder =4

so suff hence B
