St-I:

Xi = Xi-1/2

this does not give suff info regarding X1 because we need to know x2

No St : II

again insuff because even if we know this relationship,we cannot go ahead and find X1

now combine both

put X5 = X4/2(from St-I)

in St-II

X4=1

X3 = 1/2
X2 = 1/4
X1 = 1/8

So answer is C

Hope now it is clear

GMAT740,

only one addition

combining 1 and 2 X4 = 0 is discarded as the sequence consists of positive numbers only.

Baki ta byapak namiyecho :-)
