MS in Acounting and a Macc

by nathanic » Mon Aug 18, 2008 5:42 pm
I am looking to get my Masters in Accounting and i was wondering is there a difference between a MS in Accounting and a Macc?

Or, are they the same thing, and schools just call them different names for the same course.

Dear Nathanic,

Master of Science in Accounting is equivalent to a Master of Accounting--just different names based on the school. There might be some other variances in terms of credit hour requirements and course offerings, but essentially these are the same degree.

Regards,
Lisa
