Find the fraction between

by makkiemaps » Sat Mar 26, 2011 8:02 pm
I am wondering if there is an easy trick to solve questions where two fractions are given and we are asked to find a fraction between them. Eg:

Question: Which of the following could be the value of x, if 34/67 < x < 151/200 ?

Here the answer given is
1/2
1/2 cannot be the answer, as 1/2 < 34/67
Shorter way of checking this is making the numerators same and denominator = 2*numerator, so, 34/68 < 34/67

Please check the question again.
