In 2003 Acme Computer priced its computers five times higher than its printers. What is the ratio of its gross revenue for computers and printers respectively in the year 2003?

(1) In the first half of 2003 it sold computers and printers in the ratio of 3:2, respectively, and in the second half in the ratio of 2:1.

(2) It sold each computer for $1000.

PC = price of one computer = 5 PP; PP is the price of one printer

If x and y are the no. of comp and printers respectively, we need x*PC +y*PP


(1) In the first half of 2003 it sold computers and printers in the ratio of 3:2, respectively, and in the second half in the ratio of 2:1.

No info. on the number of printers and comp. ...3:2 can be 6 and 4 or 3000 and 2000. No info on x and y.

(2) It sold each computer for $1000 => PC = 1000 => PP = 200. No info on x and y.

Combining, Ratio and price are given. We know PC and PP; but no info on x and y.

I got it.
The trick is
In the first half of 2003 .... and in the second half .....
In the 1st half we could have 3000 computers and 2000 printers and in the 2ns half 2 computers and 1 printer.
A will be enought if there were a ration for a whole year.
Easy but tricky ))
