In May ,Xiang sold 15 used cars.For these cars the range of selling prices was 15000 and the lowest selling price was 4500,In june Xiang sold 10 used cars . For these 10 cars the range of the selling price was 16500 and the lowest selling price was 6100 . What is the range of selling price of the 25 used cars sold by Xiang in May and June

Are you sure this is from GMATPrep? The wording seems funny and I don't think GMATPrep would use names like "Xiang"...

Nevertheless,

Highest selling price of the two months is 6100+16500 = 22600
Lowest selling price of the two months is 4500

Range is 22600-4500 = 18100

Answer D.

If the range of prices is 16500, and the lowest price is 6100, the highest price must be 6100+16500.

I've seen Rasheed and Malik, so why not Xiang? John and Mary are such nondescript names, anyway!
