quarter and nickel

If the value of x quarters is equal to the value of x + 32 nickels, x =

A. 8
B. 11
C. 14
D. 17
E. 20

The answer said 25x = 5(x+32)

Why that 5?

Quarters = 25 cents
Nickles = 5 cents.
This means that x quarters are 25*x = 25x cents.
x + 32 nickles will be 5*(x + 32) = 5(x + 32) cents.
This is why 25x = 5(x + 32)
25x = 5x + 160
20x = 160
x = 8.

I didn't know this concept of nickles and quarters. What's the source of the question? Is such questions expected in GMAT?

These are the coin question, I were practicing it from my GMAT book.

Nickle = 5
quarter = 25
dime = 10
