I thought the answer should be 2/3 but it clearly is not
how to solve?

5 hours @ 50mph = 250 miles

1 gallon at this speed = 30 miles

250 miles -> 25/3 gallons = 8 1/3 gallons

As a fraction of 12 gallons (full tank) = (25/3)/12 = 25/36 E.

thanks i guess i made a stupid mistake

i just thought 8 gallons must be used out of the 12..but i didnt convert it into a fraction form

like i didnt use 8 1/3 /12
