so overall your goals are fine as personal goals, but make a really poor story. why? Cause you and everyone else wants to get into PE and there are notoriously few positions and they tend to go with folks with experience.
Does it mean you have to change your goals? Not necessarily. But you should at least reconsider the wisdom of going with that story for your applications.
My advice would be for you to aim for Top 10/15 finance-focused schools, but with GM in Tech goals (more plausible, and you are more hireable), and then once you get into your MBA see how your desired change pans out.
You aren't thaaaaaaat old
, so don't worry about that.and overall with your corporate + entrepreneurial experience, I think you can do quite well!
