Need Advise

by deepesh.gupta » Sat May 01, 2010 3:29 am
I have bee studying for GMAT for last one month. I have covered official guide 12 and official guide 11, princeton review, Kaplan verbal and Kapan problem solving. I am scoring descent on the maths, but there are still inconsistency in performance in the verbal section. I perform badly in one part (say RC) in one test, improve on it in the next but then perform badly in other part (SC).

I have approximately 80 hours before my GMAT. Please suggest how should i plan to overcome the inconsistency in performance in the verbal section.

Odds are your main problem is that you are not approaching the questions in a consistent manner. You have to make sure you attack verbal in a consistent way, much like you would quant. For instance, you should have the same approach for every RC-inference question, every SC-modifier question, etc. Without a consistent approach, your scores will always fluctuate.
