Expln :
St1 says xy is integer.
Say, x=7/2 and y=2, then xy=7 is an integer.
But, x-y != 6
So, st1 is not sufficient alone.
Combining st1 and st2 with above values for x and y, also does not yield the result of |x-y| as 6.
Hence E.
