All companies should invest heavily in advertising because high-quality advertising can sell almost any product or service

Discuss the extent to which you agree/disagree, support... etc

My answer:

I agree to some extent with the author that advertising plays crusial role in the sales performance of a product. However, not any poduct can be sold only by advertising and not every product neccessarily needs heavy investments in promotion.

The first reason why companies should invest in advertising is the proven fact that consumers need to be reminded that your product is on the market. And if you have put enough money in the promotion, they will not only know about the good, they will also want to buy it. One exapmple that proves why advertising is needed is what happened to Coca-Cola when then decided not to advertise. At some point in the last century, Coca-Cola decided they are so ahead in sales compared to Pepsi, they decided they don't need to promote their product. This lead to nearly fifty per cent decline in sales. Therefore, on equal basis, it is always better to advertise that not to.

Another reason why advertising can sell is the fact that people are easily manipulated. There are certain psychological tricks that marketers use in commercial to make people want to buy. For example by putting spesific colours such as red or yellow they make you feel happy, they make you act. Some would argue that money on such commercials are well spent. However, if your product is not of good quality, these commercials work only on the first time customers buy it. After that, if the product is no good, the commercial will have no effect. Therefore, by using such approach you can not sell any product, but the investment is worth for such of good quality.

Futhermore, some share the view that if a company's product is lagging behind competitors' products technologically, it is better for the company to invest in innovation, than in advertising. For example no matter how heavily you invest in advertising walkmans, it is highly unlikely your sells will rise, since this is a product long surpassed by mp3 players. However, for the seller of an mp3 player it is important to advertise by means he can reach his target customers. And nowadays this costs a great amount of money, especially if this seller wants to buy commercial time on television or on the radio and here comes the need of heavy investment.

In conclusion, companies should calculate their advertising budgets reasonably and with thought about their products, but as a hole high-quality adverising is very important for making the sell.

You write like you talk which makes it loose the charm. Writing has a magic which speaking does not possess. You have to practice hard because it will help when you will write your essays. We are always there to help.

Look at the structure of this sentence. Its far too complex.

You also made a lot of spelling mistakes. May be typos. Be careful.

Best of Luck
