Scheduling a GMAT test

by sabal » Tue Dec 23, 2008 2:51 am
I gave my GMAT test today. It wasn't the score I was expecting.
Even though Quant was much higher , Verbal was much much lower than I generally get in my practice scores..
Just wanted to know when I can schedule a GMAT test. The earliest date possible. How many days after the previous test does the next test have to be? Can I schedule another one in the next few days?Any penalties ? Anything I should be careful about?

You can't give test more than once in a month. For more info check mba.com

Which materials did you use to study?

A similar thing happend with me. Higher math, significantly lower verbal.

Found the math a bit easier than I practiced, but the verbal much harder.

The materials i used were mainly KAPLAN and OG 11 and Manhattan SC.
What were the materials you used? What are you doing now to improve your verbal score?
Any advice would be great!

Sorry for the delayed response, took a few days off.

I used the OG and MGMAT practice tests. Honestly, i did not really study for the verbal since i was doing well enough in the practice tests. However, as I said, i found the verbal to be much harder.

At this point, I will probably get the mgmat CR and SC books, since I found those to be quite difficult on the test. Not so much the questions themsevles, but just my concentration was really off after testing for 3 hours. I feel like it needs to be second nature for that not to effect you during your test.
