Let's take each statement one by one.

(1) x^2 is an integer.

Case 1: Say x^2 = 4, then x = 2, an integer. The answer is yes.
Case 2: Say x^2 = 3, then x = √3, not an integer. The answer is no.

No unique answer. Insufficient.

(2) x/2 is not an integer.

Case 1: Say x/2 = 1/2, then x = 1, an integer. The answer is yes.
Case 2: Say x/2 = √3/2, then x = √3, not an integer. The answer is no.

(1) and (2) together

Case 1: Say x/2 = 1/2, then x = 1, an integer. Note that x^2 = 1 is an integer. The answer is yes.
Case 2: Say x/2 = √3/2, then x = √3, not an integer. Note that x^2 = 3 is an integer. The answer is no.

No unique answer. Insufficient.

The correct answer: E

Hope this helps!
